The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I am just out of a 3+ year relationship which brought me to LA Crosse,WI. It is a small city on the border of WI and MN. I am going to move and am looking at Chicago, I am looking at Cali and Minneapolis(where I grew up) too. I visited my friend who lives in Wrigglyville and had a blast. I guess I am just curious on how Chicago is to live in and how is the single girl situation there? Im looking at a spring move, maybe sooner if I can find a job.

I'm in Minneapolis and have visited Chicago a LOT so I totally see the appeal to moving there! Anyway, if you find yourself still considering Minneapolis and want any info - let me know! :)
I love Chicago. Granted I did grow up in Chi-Town, but there is so much to offer. The people are great and there is a strong blogging community here.
Yeah, like phammers here said - super strong blogging community. I'm sure he/we/a lot of people could come up with a decent list of people to start following (blogs/twitter) if you want to start building connections.
You're 24, right? Chicago's a great city to be single in. You'll have no problem finding something to do, and the social scene is never-ending. It depends on what you're really looking for, but if you've had fun in Wrigley, than I assume you're not opposed to nightlife. Wrigley and Lincoln Park are both really active, especially in the mid-twenties range.

I'll second Molly's opinion: this is a great city for singles and couples...it's just a city where there is ALWAYS something happening.
Thanks for all the great help guys. I just gotta find a job now.
CareerBuilder is hiring sales people.
I've lived in the area for a little less than a year and a half and can't imagine being anywhere else! There are so many awesome neighborhoods and hangouts to explore that appeal to anyone and everyone. Goodluck!

And yeah- Wrigleyville is my favorite! :)
I'm from WI so I know exactly what LaCrosse is like. I moved to Chicago two years ago and I love it and will probably never move back to WI. I'm originally from a suburb of Milwaukee. What kind of job are you looking for? I live in Lakeview and I rent a studio apartment for $795 which I found is the average for a studio. My studio is very big though compared to others in this area. It's about 650 sq ft. I read somewhere that Chicago was voted one of the top cities for single people, so that should help you out! :-)
winters are harsh, you know, but the architecture is as a good as any city gets.
