The Beatles are arguably one of the most beloved musical groups of all time and their entire catalog is being remastered/released on 09/09/09. As such, a few of the remastered stereo mixes have hit the net (Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, and Abbey Road) and I was wondering what people thought if they've heard them. Was this a success? Is is ever a good idea to remaster classic albums? Does it change the intentions of the band? In the case of The Beatles, does it mar their legacy or does their artistic output warrant restoration? Paul McCartney okayed the project and stands by it, but is that enough?
I've got my own opinions (Especially after hearing Revolver remastered) but what do you guys think?

i guess the original will always stand above whatsoever cover versions come out... i feel it's a bad idea... The Beatles are undoubtedly one of the eternal music bands in the world!
