The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I'm JB. I'm a nerd girl obsessed with television, reading, sequential art, and sometimes film. I cried when Farscape and Firefly were both cancelled, and rejoiced mightily with Serenity and the new Farscape Web Series were announced. I like comic books, but not exclusively. I love playing board games like Game of Thrones (think Risk, but based off the book series) or Dune (also based off the book series). My day is spent blogging, Digging, and reading e-books. I have played WoW, but I don't anymore. I have had several discussions, particularly with my nerdy roomies, about which Star Trek series is better and the real-life problems with creating transporters in real life.

Hi, I'm a nerd girl, how are you?

i'm a total nerd. most of my friends kind of know it and ignore it.

battlestar, yes. sci fi yes. internet nerdified. YES.

the inner nerd is what makes people interesting.
Thankfully, my friends have learned to embrace their inner nerdiness. Well, some of them were nerds long before I met them (their idea of a fab Friday night way back when was Starcraft challenges and Magic: The Gathering. Sunday outings were for Nero.)

Nerds are the most interesting people out there. Nerdiness is the new cool.
Im a nerd in many ways
I love computers, macs, gadgets, rams and reading the technology section in the newspaper. I spend my day reading up on the computer world as much as i can.

I am a complete comic book obsessed girl. I used to read conan. I could probably go to a star wars convention.

I used to play dungeons and dragons....
i rest my case
Haha. For some reason, I never wanted to get into D&D. Most of my friends play it, but it was just a line of nerdiness I didn't want to cross.

I haven't read Conan. I just finished reading the Y: The Last Man series, and now I'm looking for something else to read. Unfortunately, my funds are too low for me to afford weekly trips to the comic book store, so these days I have to settle with TPBs at the library. Yes, I still go to the library.
It was the Battlestar Galactica that got me, but I fit in with plenty of other categories of nerd. I actually write fantasy/sci-fi so I think that's enough right there. I also enjoy reading, computers, and of course, I do play WoW. :) Most of my friends know I am a nerd, but they call me other things instead, go figure. haha. :)
Cool! I love Fantasy more than Sci-Fi (lit-wise). Any chance that you have some sample work for us to check out?
Yeah, there are some short stories on my blog, along with a synopsis for one of my books, "Mythaleg." Poetry too, and all that fun stuff. I actually post new piece of a short story every Friday. :)
I'm a nerdy girl and I love nerds! I love reading, writing, blogging, doing nerdy stuff online and I am totally addicted to Sudoku and Tetris. Yay!
I never was good with numbers, so I am not a fan of Sudoku. But ask me to play a round of Boggle or Scrabble and I kick major butt.
I was into Sudoku during college, but not anymore! :(
Ooh, I'm a nerd! I'm more invested in grammar, vocabulary, and word origin, than the typical math/science area, but chemistry, the periodic table, and fractals are close to my heart, too. My husband is a high school math teacher, so our house is filled with obscure books about punctuation, Fermat's enigma, and the like. We have a CD of a capella math music, three sets of Scrabble tiles, and shirts that read "I Heart Pi" and "Triple Nerd Score."

All of this is to say - hooray for this group! And Happy Pi Day, everyone!
I like grammar and vocabulary, especially when used correctly. I don't know all the rules and applications, though. I just try to be as proficient as possible and reduce my grammar mistakes as much as I can. I do, however, love Scrabble and Boggle.

Where can one find a capella compilations of math music??
