Fashion and Beauty Site Seeks PT Editorial Assistant - 1 Month With Op To Stay On
SheFinds.com, a major shopping site about fashion and beauty, needs an Editorial Assistant to help with researching, writing and editing posts. This is a 1-month, paid position in Manhattan that starts ASAP, with the opportunity to remain on-board thereafter, perhaps in a F/T position.
We are a well funded, growing company backed by a progressive venture capital firm. Our management team is small but very experienced - this is a great place to learn from professionals who have worked at major companies like Martha Stewart, Conde Nast, CBS, AOL and Ask.com (IAC). Now is an exciting time to join the team - we are currently working on a major redesign of SheFinds.com and have plans to launch several other new sites in the near future.
You will work from assignment and also from your own reporting on you own Finds (i.e. the latest boot, the shirt Kate Moss wore to a premiere, the best push-up bra, etc.). Our work style is collaborative and open: we reward initiative and are always looking to give our employees additional responsibility/ exposure. In the past, we have rewarded successful interns with full-time positions and pay increases. We have many media partners and are well regarded by top fashion/beauty brands.
The ideal candidate is a recent college graduate with a keen interest in wearable fashion and strong writing skills.
If you are interested please do a write-up that would work on the blog about a fashion or beauty trend you've seen. Post it here: http://shefinds.com/talk/ then send the link, along with your resume, to sfeditor@shefinds.com with the subject line "Editorial Assistant". We're very picky so give us your best insight and wit. Don't be afraid to rant or rave about the trend you've spotted, and share any personal anecdotes.
