The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Hey NYC Bloggers!

My mom is coming into town Friday morning and staying till Monday. She's been here quite a few times, so while we don't need to do the standard 'tourist' stuff that is so easy to find I do need to come up with a few good things to keep her busy! Planning to go to the Brooklyn Flea one day. Any suggestions on interesting (but not very avant garde) events or exhibits a Mid-Western Mom might like? Restaurant suggestions are great too - always looking for new places!

Thanks so much!

You should pick up a copy of Time Out NY! But as far as recommendations, the International Center of Photography has a great exhibit of photos from 1930s Paris up right now. It says "avant garde", but obviously what was edgy in 1930 is not going to shock anyone now, even a midwestern mom :)

That exhibit sounds great! Thanks so much!
I was thinking of the MET, so this is really good to know! Thanks. We live near the park and will definitely get there for a walk.
I'd say go to MoMa and see the Tim Burton exhibit (if she is into art or Tim Burton's work).
