What would you ask your favourite author?
I'm asking because my little city won a nation-wide contest to have Neil Gaiman come do a book signing!! He is my absolute HERO, and I totally want to meet him. But what the heck do you SAY to your absolute hero, and not look like a total prat??

I actually did get a chance to meet one of my favorite authors. After standing in line for about 3 hours, and pondering between witty, clever, intelligent and fascinating statements to say to him; I went completely blank and blurted out, "Do you know who you are?" Yeah. I. Am. So. Awesome.

Aww, that's awesome!
I would say "Would you hold my sock-in-progress while you take a picture with me?" if I hung out with Elizabeth Hand again. It totally slipped my mind and I've been kicking myself ever since.
