The Bloggers With The Most To Say

What do you do when u read??

Do you read on the bed? On the sofa? Under the tree? At the park? On the tree? By the lake?

What must you have with you when you read??
Coffee? Smoothie? Milk? IPod?

Plus, do you use bookmarks or aare you prone to make doggie ears at the top corners of your book?

For me, I usually enjoy reading on my bed or on the sofa & I must have a juice or my fav smoothie with me.

Ohh and guilty as charged, I do doggie ears. I just cant stick with bookmarkers I dont know why.

I usually read in my recliner or in the bed...And I use index cards as bookmarkers...
no no no...no dog ears! ever!

bookmark - usually whatever's closest because i tend to lose or break my bookmarks - be it tissue or paper or something.

i read everywhere- in bed, on the sofa, on public transport, in front of the tv (what ad breaks are for :p - this amazes my mom as both my sister and i do this)
I read at work at my desk most week days. I also read in bed everynight. On weekends, I also usually read either in bed or on the couch. On nice books I try to use a bookmark or ribbon, if it comes with one. On mass production paperbacks, I have no problem with dog-earing.
I read on the sofa or on the bed. Preferably without any distractions whatsoever, but sometimes I just can't resist having a bag of chips beside me :)

I hardly did dog-ears or bookmarks, too. I used to be one of those evil people who destroy a book's spine so quickly by letting it lie flat on the surface on the page I'm currently on >:) but I've learned to make use of anything bookmark-like to mark the page now - receipts, prepaid cards, starbucks ads (which were made to be bookmarks, I think), anything flat lol.
I read just about anywhere but most commonly in bed or on the couch.

I don't have to have something with me when I read, but if I have a nice cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate with the little marshmallows its always a bonus.

bookmarks, no dog ears! I can't stand when my pages get bent over. I use pretty much anything flat, usually a post card or post it note.
I usually read on the train as I currently have a long commute to and from work. If I'm reading at home it'll be on my bed or on a sofa, but I always like to take a book with me if I'm going on a journey or know I've got to wait around for someone etc. Also if I'm at home I like to settle down with a book with a large mug of tea close at hand, and often some chocolate too... ;)

For bookmarks I have been known to use old receipts, but I recently treated myself to two hand-made bookmarks made from recycled materials by one of my friends :)
Usually in bed, to get myself in a frame of mind to sleep (although this backfires terribly if the book I have happens to be amazing, in which case i get NO sleep. Just one more chapter...)

I don't need anything when I ready per say, but more often then not I have a coffee

I don't use bookmarks or doggie ears. I either use the flap (on hardbacks) or I just shut the book. It tests me to see if I was rea\lly paying attention (I have this aweful habit of reading a page, and not really comprehending anything because I was thinking about something else)
I read every night before I go to bed. But I can literally read anywhere. I read everyday during lunch and someone else in the break room is usually watching TV. I have even had people have conversations with me and I not even no it. I am kind of picky about my bookmarks. I have two that I use all the time, if they are busy cuddling with a book I will use any scrap of paper. I can only doggie ear my paperbacks. My hardbacks are too important!
I will read almost anywhere. I love reading outside when its warm and sunny. And I like to start with a drink (usually tea) but I keep reading once the tea is long gone.

No! I can't fold down the pages! It goes against all that was drilled into me as a child about looking after books. I never have a bookmark to hand though so I often have to try and remember where I was up to/flick through until I work it out.
I can read just about everywhere. I've perfected the art of blocking out voices, noises, etc. in order to get into the book. My favorite place, though, is probably on my bed, with a soda in summer, and coffee in the winter. And I always, always, always have a bookmark with me. Doggie ears bug me.
I tend to read in bed, typically in the evening before I go to sleep, but sometimes in the morning, when my boyfriend is still sleeping. This is usually because I like to read in peace - either in complete silence or with (very) quiet, non-intrusive music. I don't mind reading anywhere, really, but a lot of noise tends to distract me. I can block it out, but when I'm in a cafe trying to read and there's someone having a ridiculously loud, intrusive conversation, it impinges upon my enjoyment of what I'm reading. I don't want to "waste" the book by reading it in an annoying place and enjoying it less... even though that might sound odd!

I really don't like deliberately damaging books in any way - bending the spine is probably the biggest crime in my view, but I also hate bending down pages. I don't think books are meant to be pristine, and naturally, they get beaten up and bashed, but at the same time, I like to take care of them when I can, within reason. I typically use old postcards as bookmarks, but if I'm reading and don't have one to hand, I always use something like an old receipt, paper napkin or tram ticket stub.
I usually can read just about anywhere. I normally do not eat or drink while reading. I will use doggie ears if I do not have a bookmark. And bookmarks are anything and everything to me. It can be an actual bookmark, receipts, papers, sticky notes, cards...anything.
