Hi everyone! I'm new to 20sb and blogging in general. And, I'd love to get some feedback from yall about your bucket lists for a blog post. But, I don't want to write about a lifetime bucket list, I'd like to do a "Things I Want to Do by 30" bucket list.
So, please comment and let me know what you hope to do by 30...when we can no longer be a part to 20sb!
I would like to drag race randomly though the city. The situation would start at us at a stop light reving our engines changeling each other. No words would be exchanged just rev's and looks. Then we race and have it be epic going through out the city and ending up at Philly's City hall building.
I have a bucket list on my blog (www.lauriesteiner.com/bucketlist) and it includes a random assortment of things I want to do, in no particular order. I like the idea of "Things I Want to Do by 30." Personally, I'd like to be living in a new place, have a new job (or freelance full-time), have a baby (or a bun in the oven) and be well on my way to living my dreams--aka traveling, exploring, loving life and everything that comes with it. :)
I'm actually working on a 27 before 27 list right now in preparation for my 26th birthday.
A couple things i've put on there include...
-Donate Blood
-Read 10 classic books (taken from a well respected list)
-Watch 26 movies i've never seen starting with each letter of the alphabet
-Visit 3 new countries
Still working on the list, but i have about 2 more months until I start.
A couple places to check out if you need more ideas are dayzeroproject.com and 43things.com.
I'm participating in the Day Zero project, which is similar (you commit to completing 101 goals in 1001 days, or about 2.5 years). It's been a lot of fun so far and there is a good, supportive community behind the project. If you need some inspiration, you can check out my Day Zero list here: http://www.kristenbyers.net/blog/day-zero-project
I want to go on a cross country road trip, and go to the Olympics or World Cup in Brazil! And of course, move around a bit, master a few good Italian dishes, and get a puppy.
I think bucket lists are a great idea and hold you accountable for your dreams, goals and ambitions. I have one here. I chose to do a lifetime bucket list instead of a 30-by-30 because chances are, as much as I would like to think otherwise, I probably won't get to all of it by the time I'm 30.
Best of luck. Would love to see what you come up with!
I LOVE looking at other people's bucket list. I have been recently making more of an effort to complete my life list- & some of the ones id like to complete within the next few years would be:
Watch the top AFI 100 Movies ( i only have 8 left!)
Try a triathlon
Learn to speak spanish fluently
Hike in Alaska
Give up Alcohol for lent
Eat vegan for a week
open water scuba dive
Become a BIG sister
Be debt free
See the northern lights
I devoted the entire concept of my blog to this idea. I found that as I approached my 25th birthday, there was so much in my life that needed to change and that I needed to get a hold of before more time went out. My blog, thetwentyfiveproject.wordpress.com chronicles my journey of trying to change 25th in my life during my 25th year. I started writing my 25 things, 25 days before my 25th birthday on June 25th.
Not everything I chose will be able to be fully accomplished in my 25th but the idea is to make a big enough dent that I see the change in my own life. Because of my list, I have friends and family beginning their own lists. Maybe yours will do the same.
