I like the half the best! It's just enough miles to go out of my comfort zone and make me work for it. a marathon is toooo much, I'm not sure i have that much dedication :p plus, I love food, and marathoners are always talking about their diet. Anyway...5K's are fun too, I like getting the t-shirts :)
I haven't been able to run a half since my last one, but it was the Indy 500 Half Marathon. I thought it would be fun because you got to go around the Indy 500 track but that ended up being the worst part. It was just bleachers after bleachers. ugh.
How about you?!
I'm training for my FIRST half-marathon right now! AHHH!!! It's the ING Georgia Half-Marathon

Check out my thought process for it in my blog post, Georgia On My Mind
Okay - so I actually lived through the race! WHOOP! I need to write an update to my last blog about it....
I'm training for my first 10K and have my sights on a half marathon in September!
I'm a bit of a runner in training... but it's more for incorporation in triathlon than just running.

I do plan on doing a couple of fun run type things to get ready... contemplating a half in October, if I feel like I won't die ;)
I've done several 5ks and now I'm getting ready for my first 10k. I'm trying to learn how to stretch properly, what supplements to take (and avoid), and how to build strength and stamina. Any tips would be great! If the 10k goes well, I hope to start training for a half by the end of the year!

I'm trainging for my first half-marathon in July, the San Francisco Marathon. I just dropped about 30 pounds and I'm hoping that this push will help me seal the deal. Who knows maybe next year I'll be able to go for the full!
Well my goal for this summer was to run a 10k without walking. I'll be doing the big Columbus 10k in June. But in my training, I've found that I can do that easily enough, even with hills involved, so I'm trying to talk myself into running a half marathon in the fall. Probably not the Columbus half, but maybe a smaller half. Not sure. I do love 5k's for the T-shirts. We only sign up if it's got a great T-shirt!
I want to run in next year's disney princess half :-) .... I have a LOT of work to do before then though! I have walk/jogged a few 5Ks with my husband but that is about it. I am hoping to completely run through a 5K this summer, and then work my way up to a 10K...... and then hopefully I will be ready to go to Florida for the Disney Princess Half!
Im planning on doing it as well, its going to be my first! Running it for to raise money for haiti, which makes me want to do it even more
I'm running my first 10K in a month. I just did a very successful 5 mile race, so I'm excited about the 10K. I have a lot more training to do though. http://eastcoastcalling.blogspot.com
