I'm helping organize a Southern food-blogging conference in Birmingham in January and I wanted to start spreading the word.

FoodBlogSouth will be held January 22, 2011, and we've got a bunch of awesome speakers lined up already: Kim Severson of The New York Times, Southern Living photographer Jennifer Davick, Christy Jordan of Southern Plate, and lots more. You'll improve your skills in food photography, food writing, and recipe development, plus hear from a panel on Gulf seafood after the oil spill. (We also have a fantastic grits-bar lunch planned!)
