The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Hey, everyone! I'm new to 20SB, and I was excited to find this group. I am actually getting my FIRST tattoo, and it's rather intensive. I'm so excited though. I've spent a lot of time thinking about it, and I have finally found a tattoo artist that I believe will be able to take what is in my brain and put it on my skin. I want a skull and cross bone type deal on my back left shoulder blade near where my heart would be, and from that I want a rainbow that will come down across my ribs and span out, and then meet down in front of my pelvis and create a heart. I'm going for life and death and the fun, joyous time between then. Whew. Anyway, are there any thoughts you have as far as things I need to take into account, etc? I'm really wanting some advice. I'm waiting until summer is over, because right not I'm spending lots of time in the sun and in the water. Because I wanted lots of color, I found a tattoo artist that worked with color a lot.

I'm just nervous there's something I may be forgetting. Any advice is welcome!

It sounds really cool! Make sure you eat something sugary before you get it done as it does help with the bleeding.

I just got one of mine redone and the tattoist recommend putting bepanthen cream (nappy rash cream) on it three times a day for a few days after and its really good for the healing process as mine healed within a few days.
I go in for the first portion of my tattoo on Monday! I'm so excited.
That sounds like an awesome tattoo, it sounds like you put a lot of thought into it too - that's a good thing. I used the creamy A & D diaper rash ointment on all of my tattoos and I would definetly reccomend you use it. I hope you'll post pictures, I'd love to see it when it's finished.
