Lip Tattoos?

Hey...if you can find someone who will do it, just be aware that it most likely won't look good. It's a tough spot to tattoo from what I've heard, and with the whole being-inside-your-mouth thing, it's going to be tough to heal correctly. Add that to the amount of regeneration of tissue inside your mouth over the years, as it is a high traffic area...it isn't exactly ideal as somewhere for a tattoo.
That being said, if you are aware that it isn't the tattooer's fault, just the spot you're putting it, and you don't care that it won't look pristine forever, then there is no reason not to get it done.

I haven't got one but seen pics on it through google images and looks difficult to do and must be painful to have done. But if you are brave enough go for it!

I had a friend that got "F.T.W." tattooed on the inside of his lower lip. The first thing is that because that area is so flexible that it's gonna look distorted, depending how you pull your lip when you show it to someone. It does fade, and fast. He said it wasn't too painful to get but I can imagine it being uncomfortable and a bitch to heal. All in all, my friend doesn't really regret it because it's not exactly visible but if he had to do it over, I don't think he would.

I HAD a lip tattoo many years ago. It was an arrow pointing "out" of my mouth (haha) but by now there's nothing left. Not even a line.Here is a little list of pro's and con's

 

pro's:

- doesn't hurt at all (it barely tickles)

- done quickly

- probably cheap... most likely if you get a piece done the artist would just do it for free

- you can get some stupid crap done and laugh about it every time you look at it

 

con's

- fades fast

- like.. REALLY... fast
