I'm not a teacher yet, can I still play?

I'm a junior in teacher school going for a degree in elementary education.
Absolutely! Welcome!

I teach special education and work primarily with pre-K through second grade students, although I have a few that are older.
I teach special ed. This year I've got 1st to 3rd with the possibility of adding kindergarten students soon. I have taught 4th and 5th spec. ed. too.
I teach 8th grade algebra at a private all girls school, but I'm off due to health issues until after Christmas. This is my second year here. The year before that I taught 12th grade Economics, 12th grade Civics and 9th grade World History (my degree is in secondary education, I'm certified in any Social Studies, Math up to Algebra 2 and all Sciences) at a public co-ed school.

It's an adventure every day and it is never ever boring.
Wow! How you do you like teaching at an all girls school? I am at a private school also (parochial school), but we are co-ed.
We are parochial school also, the fact that it's all girls just means that the students spend a lot less time worrying about how they look because there's no one to impress. It's a little refreshing, and at the same time, overwhelmingly full of estrogen sometimes. Thankfully I have literally no behavior problems to deal with ever, that part is fantastic.
I'm a preschool teacher, still in college because I want to teach child development classes at the college level one day :), and I currently work in the 3-year-old class at a Reggio-inspired school. Before taking this job, I was the director of a program for elementary school kids.
I teach English at a German high school, which means I have classes from 6th grade through 13th grade. I'm technically an assistant teacher, so I don't have to give grades and the students aren't afraid of me (which is good and bad).

I've also taught dance to kids aged 4-10, which was awesome. I had ballet, jazz, and tumbling classes. I miss it.
Hi all :)

I am certified Early Childhood and am currently working non-profit teaching K & 1st graders afterschool plus visiting schools with a literacy program. Before that I taught K in public school.

For the past several months I've been considering going back to the classroom. There are so many pros and cons! I have no idea what to do! That's where I'm at right now.
I teach Highschool - business, accounting and computer ed. I'm trying to incorporate personal finance in for next year as well.
I teach high school English - mostly 12th grade. I teach a couple dual-credit classes with a local college and an honors sophomore class. My first year (last year) I also taught 7th and 8th grades.
I teach English too! I teach a class of upper-level seniors, then half the day is spent with lower-level freshmen. Gotta love those opposite ends of the spectrum!! I have a few electives - Speech, and this amazing class called Reading Unlimited - that have all grade levels mixed together, too. My first two years (this is my fifth) I taught Honors 10. Isn't it amazing how different students act/think/etc from just one grade level year to the next?
