I teach Computers for 6, 7, & 8 graders at a small middle school, and also 7th grade Reading one period a day. I am an English teacher by training, but I took the job because I love the district so much, and figured I could move laterally eventually.
Preschool/ K- they keep me hopping!
I do supply work in England, and have taught the whole 3-11 age range during my 2 years as a teacher. As a supply, I can be required to teach any subject on the primary curriculum!
I'm teaching US History I & II to high school sophomores and juniors this year in New Jersey! I'm pretty excited, as it is exactly what I want to be teaching :)
Prek! but I have my heart and eyes set on 1-3 (hopefully in a few years) or possibly "Transitional Kindergarten" classes which will open in about 2 years? I work in San Francisco for the district.
I am currently and independent tutor and business owner, but I used to teach high school English and was a lecturer for Rhetoric and Writing and English Lit at a local university. My students now are generally college writing students and high school students who need help in English. I love teaching and miss being in the classroom a lot, but I am working on a business that will support me so I can go back to teaching and not have to worry about the small paycheck that comes with it. I guess that's the dream... We will see if I make it work.
I work with children who have special needs, primarily in the area of language delays. This could be due to a number of reasons - mental disabilities or physical disabilites. I work a lot with children who have autism, down syndrome and sensory processing disorder. I mainly work with children between the ages of 3 and 9. Aaaaannnnnnddddd I absolutely LOVE what I do!
I teach Language Arts right now, next year I'll be teaching a combination of Language Arts and Social Studies in what we're calling "Humanities" for now. It's a new class being taught, born out of the budget and lack of teachers, so I'm excited to see where I go with it!

I teach special education, moving this year from high school to middle school. I specialize in teaching adolescents with classic autism.

Wouldn't trade it for the world!  Although, since special education students can be in school until 22, being a young high school teacher is HARD! This year I had kids who acted, and treated me, like a peer. In reality, I have friends their age and YOUNGER! Can't wait to hang with the middle school kiddos for a stint.
