The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Does anyone have an etsy site?
If so, what do you sell?

Any tips for people who would like to start an account?
I'm thinking photography at this point...

Aw, shucks, I thought this would be a place to post our etsy pages. ;)

Photography -- get your prints done first, so when people order them, you can simply package and ship them.
Number the backs of them, like 1/50, 2/50 and so on... but it takes a lot of investment to sell photography online, from what I hear.
I stick with my paintings. :)

I segwayed into sharing my page. macbeck.etsy.com ;)
hahaha well i'm pretty sure you can pimp your etsy site here too ;P
I have an etsy shop, and I sell paper stuffs, like handmade books, bookmarks, stationery, and prints. Photography is a little tough (well, to be clear - nothing is "easy" to sell, you've still got a good bit of legwork to do) because while you want to make and sell really quality prints, chances are you'll be selling them for pretty cheap. There are a lot of really good photographers on etsy that have managed to find a niche, subject & style that people really like. A couple that have caught my eye over time are:

ara133photography.etsy.com
JenArthur.etsy.com
anniebee.etsy.com
prettypetalstudio.etsy.com
fieryeyed.etsy.com *love* this one

In my shop, I've tried to combine my photography with other items, like covers for hardcover notebooks, or as a pack of postcards (great for a series of prints), but also have a couple of individual prints for diversity. iartaday.etsy.com

best of luck!
whats "etsy"?
a place to buy and sell things that are handmade (and you can buy or sell real vintage pieces and supplies to make things). you should check it out. there are a ton of things on there. www.etsy.com
I have an etsy site and it is TOUGH! I'm hoping it picks up soon but I recommend spending time in their forums.

My link! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6701542 :)
I sell prints and greeting cards. I used to sell my paintings but Etsy is really more of a place for people who make jewelry, clothing, bags, prints, and supplies.

Go on the forums and the chat rooms, people will find you there, buyers and seller alike. Also, it may take a while for a sell to come in, I haven't made one yet and I started about a month or so ago.

Another key tip, is to take really good photos of your items and post up more than photo for each item.

Yeah, Etsy is great and I love poking around on the site; there are so many talented people out there!  I have a few friends who have shops on there, and one friend who is an amazing seamstress, she makes mostly lingerie and other sexy clothes, and she started on Etsy.

I've also been toying with the idea of opening an etsy shop, but I agree with Jenny, that you really have to work to carve out your niche to turn a profit.  Good luck to you, floreta!!! :)

I do. I (attempt to) sell my handmade jewelry. http://www.etsy.com/shop/HoneybeeAlley

I just revamped my store: The Crafts You're About to Want and added a bunch of things! Right now there are glass pendant necklaces, which I love, some die cuts I made for scrapbooking (or other of course!) use, really cute jewelry holders I made and stamped note cards. I plan to get some more stuff on there when I can get around to making it!! Oooo I'll post some photos too:

Please come by and check out everything else!
