My boyfriend's parents went to Buenos Aires for New Years last year and actually had a few difficulties. They said the town was kind of shut down around New Years because everyone was traveling, or celebrating elsewhere, and all the locations they looked into (bars, restaurants, etc) to spend actual New Years Eve in would be insanely expensive, and you'd be seeing the same show or experience you'd get on any other day for triple the price. They ended up booking a new flight and spending New Years Eve flying back home to Miami.
In November I'll finally be moving over to England to live with my fiance, and as of right now we don't have plans for New Years. I thought about going to London, but that might be a bit expensive. However, spending New Years in a gorgeous town in Wales called Aberystwyth is another idea. It's right on the ocean and absolutely lovely. Spending New Years on a beach would be quite a different way to spend New Years Eve, especially since I come from New York! Haha.
Me too! I'm hoping to be able to go there soon and visit. London will only be a two hour drive from where we'll be living. Aww, thank you! I agree. We'll have fun no matter what we do, even if we stay close to home. :)
