i'm so glad i found this group! i keep my own blog about freelancing, writing, being young and silly and things like that (http://fresh-minted-freelance.blogspot.com/), but i also keep goodwillnynj's blog - and we'd love to feature a couple crafty bloggers who might be able to show our readers how to take something old from Goodwill and make it seem new again. we're all about promoting creativity over cookie-cutter consumerism - if you think you might be interested, please re this or write me an email at cait.v.weiss@gmail.
I could write something about how to buy older t-shirts and spruce them up with some crocheted accents, or how to take an old knitted sweater and recycle the yarn from that to make something new.
That would be awesome! We'd love to have something up before Thanksgiving - our goal is to have a series of homemade holiday present posts between mid-November and Xmas. Would you be able to write something up, maybe with a picture or two by Nov 15th? We'd happily link to your blog and promote you on our Facebook and Twitter, too ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Goodwill-Industries-of-Greater-New-Yo... and http://www.twitter.com/goodwillnynj ).
Thanks so much - I'm a crochet-er too, and would love to see how you do that!
Sure! I will try to make a trip to our local Goodwill or something this weekend and see what I can come up with :D Would I be able to cross-post to my own blog? If not, that's fine, but I would like to at least link to the article if that's okay with you!
