The Bloggers With The Most To Say
I'm feeling more and more like I'm a GROAN UP - someone who is stuck in between Growing and Grown. Does anyone else feel the same??
I'd say you might be a GROAN UP if...
- The thought of becoming an adult makes you toss up a few Fruity Pebbles
- You see nothing wrong with still eating Fruity Pebbles.
- TGIF once meant something more (oh how I miss thee Boy Meets World)
- At the first sight of snow you hope work is cancelled tomorrow
- You can’t believe you’re married
- You can’t believe you’re NOT married
- You still giggle when someone says balls (maybe just a groan up guy thing)
What's your line on what makes you a GROAN UP? Let's hear it!
Permalink Reply by Jill on March 24, 2011 at 4:52pm -You still throw mini hissy fits.
-You cry when things don't always go your way.
-You eat cereal for dinner.
I don't wanna grow up!

- my groan up cereal of choice: lucky charms.
- i de-stress by coloring with crayola crayons
- i occasionally find myself watching the disney channel
- my favorite thing to do on a sunny afternoon is swing in the park with my hubby...
every time i wake up and see the ring on my finger or look at my pregnant belly, i am still in shock.
every time i pay rent or my utilities, i wish i was a kid again for sure.
i think i might blog these confessions...

When I paid for my first surgery....
When I want actually WANT a nap time
I take my nieces to see cartoon movies just so I don't look like a weirdo watching a kids movie
When I see my wedding pictures and college diploma I feel groan up ;)
And when I realize I have to DEAL with the car mechanics instead of my dad doing it for me!
Permalink Reply by Paul Angone on April 19, 2011 at 3:22pm Ha! Linzy. Love it. All of this is so true! I'd love for you to write a couple of these on my site All Groan Up for "I'll Feel Like a Real Adult When..."
- when you role down your window, put your head out and yell out curses at the driver behind you for honking uselessly (and don't bother that your mom is sitting next to you)!
- when your old classmates from high school, talk about their babies endlessly.
- when everyone you know is getting married.
- when you buy loads of cute accessories for your teenage sister, coz obviously you are too GROAN up to wear them!
Permalink Reply by Robin on June 27, 2011 at 5:22pm Yes I realized I was grown up when I paid for my own surgery (that seemed big - it was just a tonsilectomy), when I applied for our marriage license and when I checked my credit report for the 1st time. Jeez am I that grown up that I've done it more than once?!?? I think my first grown up moment came when I was reguarily shopping for weekly groceries alone.
Yes I still eat mac n cheese for dinner (now with added peas) and whine about things to my dear husband.
Permalink Reply by Paul Angone on June 30, 2011 at 2:35am Ha! Robin these are great additions to the list. I definitely think paying for your own surgery is a huge All Groan Up moment...oh yeah...and filling out a marriage license too. Definitely remember the weight of that one...

ugh. i miss me some tgif. that fred savage was dreamy
Permalink Reply by Paul Angone on June 30, 2011 at 2:39am I would say I DON'T own a Boy Meets World DVD set, but then of course I would be doing the opposite of truth-telling...
Fred Savage was Wonder Years, Ben Savage was Boy. They were both dreamy though, so your point still stands!
