Dorothy Parker is supposed to have called Los Angeles "72 suburbs in search of a city." There are probably more suburbs, now, but we're still looking for the city. I'm writing about the search.
Yeah, that quote made me feel a whole lot better as well. I have been meaning to get it up somewhere that'll be in my line of sight every day, paint it on a canvas or something. Anything that will help me remember it (as it is very easy to fall into a sense that you should know exactly what you want).

I'm not actually a Springfield native, though I went to college there. I'm originally from NorCal, then I moved to Columbia, Missouri when I was 9. Returned to Cali after college, and zoom! Here we are.
By the by: I already miss the Getty. I'm a museum nut and a gallery fiend (and an architecture lunatic), and that place was perfect. Even the food. And can you imagine how awesome a game of lasertag would be there?I
