About Me:

I'm all about appreciating and engaging with media. I have a constant soundtrack to my life, stay up way too late cleaning out my DVR, and compulsively scroll the internets for the latest meme. Most of my friends don't get as excited about each day's new piece of media, but that's probably because they get laid more than me.

I moved to Chicago from Philadelphia in 2004, and have worked pretty hard to make a home for myself here. Thankfully the city itself is full of opportunity, and boasts some of the greatest arts and culture in the world.

After being laid off from my job in academia, I'm reigniting my passion for entertainment journalism with a new blog and a new career as a freelance writer. I can't wait to build a network of talented creators and lovers of media and earn a living on my terms.
