My thick accent will tell you that I am not from the United States. I come from the Dominican Republic, but live in the American north, and attend university in the American south.
I am complicated and confusing. I like to pretend I am a writer—at least in a blogging world. I want to successfully express my emotions, feelings, and thoughts through the art of writing. I have a relationship with the pencil and cheat on the paper with my laptop. Typewriters and written diaries sound cool, but those are things of the past. I look toward the present each day—simply appreciating all sixty seconds of every minute that goes by. I find myself emotionally stable, but vulnerable to society's static and definite rules, boundaries, expectations, and definitions. I enjoy the present, which as the minutes go by becomes my past, and builds the base for my eventual future.
I am a social observer—walking through life—simply trying to understand—wondering—appreciating the minutes that go by. As a student of politics at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, I am interested in the way political theories meet reality and the way politics influence our daily lives. The main objective of Minute by Minute is to take a moment to reflect—to think—as we run toward the goals—to exchange ideas and share thoughts in a globalized society. As Gandhi once said, "live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
Fill in the blank: "People who like _________ will love my blog!"
People who like to—think, wonder, question, love life, appreciate the minutes that go by, walk against the usual and take ownership of what is rare—will love my blog!
What makes you different from other bloggers?
Minute by minute is more than a blog—it is me. From the layout to the logo, from the posts to the followers, Minute by Minute offers readers an inspirational, yet realistic, challenging, and well edited blog. I take care of everything I do. Moreover, I establish special relationships with those who follow me. For me blogging is not simply about posting, it is about exchanging ideas and thoughts with the world. I have blogger friends from Argentina to Kansas City, MO. I am different, so is my blog.
