I am the crazy bird lady. You may find me wandering about NC with my camera stuck in a yellow-bellied sapsucker's face.
I work as an Admissions & Public Relations Coordinator for a non-profit community in NC. I graduated with a Journalism degree in December of 2004, and time has flown by as I've tried to find a job that's the right fit for me. We moved from my home state of Vermont to the Research Triangle in North Carolina, and it's been a real TRIP! I grew up on a little island in the middle of Lake Champlain in Vermont. I am enjoying the new things and new people here in NC, but I walked past a patch of woods with peepers chirping in it the other day, and almost had a nervous breakdown because I miss VT's natural beauty I am so used to! You can take the girl out of the woods, but you can't take the woods out of the girl.I have learned this much: the grass always looks greener on the other side, but it's not. Your problems will follow you wherever you go, and every place has its good and bad points. Learn to appreciate where you are, because "A joyful life is an individual creation that cannot be copied from a recipe." That's my wisdom for today. Thank You.
As a hobby, I enjoy finding used furniture and painting it all white, which drives my husband nuts. I collect china and antiques that are all displayed in my apartment (a few too many at times) and have an eclectic taste in decor.
Hehe, yeah I think I'd be the same. The perfect job... for about a week! I went to the cinema by me that sells it on cones for the first time in ages last week and I ate so much of the stuff that I thought it was going to start seeping out of my pores... :D x
