Where do you live:
Milwaukee, WI
About Me:
Ah, the about me section. Well for a quick start, I am a 25 year old Advertising Projects and Sales Development Leader for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and also volunteer for a non-profit organization, Historic Milwaukee, in the role of Vice President for Communications.

Graduated 2008 from UWM with a Marketing Degree and International Biz minor..blah blah.

I really love being outside and being active. Basketball, volleyball and tennis have dominated my time as of late, but really anything that makes me move and get in the sun works just fine. Writing is something I’ve picked up as an outlet to express some opinions I have (I have many) and it’s been great talking with people who have thoughts of their own to share!

The thought of connecting with people my age from places I’ve never been is something that really intrigues me, because I find it so amazing that people who’ve spent the same time on this earth as I have can have such different lives and personalities!

I hope that I can connect with as many people as possible on this site and really start to understand just how different our lives can really be and perhaps even find out how they are more similar than I think.

Hit me up anytime!

21st Century Cigarette = Cell Phones?

In today’s world, the parallels between generations are becoming harder and harder to draw as technology moves us farther apart from those who came before.

As this happens, several results occur.

One is the loss of being able to connect through shared experiences, another is the decrease in our understanding of the mistakes we've made in the past. The latter of the two being probably the worst, as it lessens our ability to avoid those mistakes into the…

Need for a (new) New World

Posted on October 24, 2011 at 11:06pm 0 Comments

In 1620, one-hundred and four passengers set out from Plymouth , England headed for Plymouth, MA with the intent of escaping the oppression of the English government and church.

That progressive group of individuals would go on to inhabit what became known as the “New World” and allowed through their progressive mentality the creation of a democratic government and further an industrial revolution that made this country a world leader for the past 200 years.

Having a Child in the 21st Century: The Great Debate

Posted on July 12, 2011 at 11:46pm 1 Comment

According to the article “The Changing Face of America’s Youth” the number of white children in the United States shrank by 4.3 million kids from 2000-2010.

Of the 764 friends I have on Facebook, 95% of whom are under 30, I can say in complete honesty I bet 40 or less (5%) have had children.

Welcome to the factors behind todays blog.

Inspiration through Connection

I crossed paths with two articles this evening, which, combined with another day at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, spawned in me the inspiration to sit down at the computer and once again put thoughts to keystrokes.

Article One fueled my internal fire and made me feel that nowhere in the world were their people and governments to put faith…
