You cook, clean, decorate, entertain and make everyone gasp in awe. Most important however, is you do it because it makes you feel good, not because you want to show up friends and enemies.

Hot Tub Confessional

Posted on August 26, 2010 at 12:11pm 0 Comments

Every Wednesday my friends and I get together for wine, pizza, and hot

tubbing. Conversation always turns philosophical and there are always

things that are either hilarious or interesting to discuss after. So, I

am introducing my new weekly series Hot Tub Revelations.

Look, I even made a pretty picture for it. That makes it legitimate. …

Words of Wisdom

My Grandpa told me once that everything we do and every emotion we have as humans come from one of two places: love or fear. And this thought has stayed with me. Whether making major life decisions, or interacting with family, lovers, friends..... everything boils down to love or fear. .

When we're standing on the edge of love, for instance-- it is choosing to act from love and not from fear that propels us forward. I think fear is… Continue

Graduation is only a concept. In real life every day you graduate. Graduation is a process that goes on until the last day of your life. If you can grasp that, you'll make a difference. ~Arie Pencovici

High School Graduation with my Best Friends (2nd from the left)

College Graduation. (Can we take a moment to talk about how much of an over-achiever I was in college? Yes, that's 3… Continue

Being Okay Being Sad.

Posted on April 24, 2009 at 2:04am 0 Comments

I have been very proud of the attitude I have been able to maintain throughout this breakup. I have been laughing, staying busy, going to the gym every day, and actually getting some work done. I have been keeping a gratitude journal, making mental lists of things about Ryan I am NOT going to miss, and thing about my new independence that I am really enjoying. I can make the list of things my next guy will have.

But.

I have also been really NOT good at letting myself be… Continue

I know that you're not supposed to talk about religion. But it's been on my heart, so here it goes. I do not mean to offend. I am not judging you. So please don't defriend me, or unsubscribe because my religion and politics do not match with yours. Because, there are some blogs I read that I don't 100% agree with, but I read your blog for the greatness that is uniquely you and… Continue

No Words...

Posted on January 20, 2009 at 10:53am 0 Comments

I have already teared up watching the coverage today. I am just overwhelmed with joy and happiness. So, this will be my post today. Oh, and I just want to vent one thing: I am so over everyone just talking about the fact that he is black. That is not the reason there is 1.2 million people shoved in the mall right now. Yes, it is a great step forward for our nation to have elected a black man. I get that there have been times in our history that we… Continue

Week in Review

Posted on January 11, 2009 at 4:54pm 0 Comments

So, last week I tried a few recipes.

I was really excited about the Fettuccine with Clam Sauce... it was a disappointment. I thought that the sauce was not thick enough to coat the noodles, so it ended up tasting like plan fettuccine with essence of yum. I didn't want ESSENCE of yum, I wanted to be SWIMMING in yum.

So, boo to that.

However, Friday, Boyfriend asked if he could have a friend come over for dinner and if we had enough burger meat to eat at home. I was… Continue
