About Me:: I'm a journalist and student at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. I'm obsessed with writing about and listening to music--sadly I can't play or sing a note...though I did once get in trouble in elementary school for playing the recorder with my nose.

What makes you different from other bloggers?: I'm really in tune with my generation but also have the ability to think outside of my demographic. I like to think I've mastered opinionated objectivity.

I kind of wish my parents had pushed me when I was younger to play some sort of instrument. I feel like nose recording (recordering?) was an elementary school right of passage. I was so awesome that I actually had my parents buy me my own recorder. And could play songs from Pocahontas on it. Wow... I think my parents hated me.
