About Me:: George W. Bush left one for President Obama. Obama penned one for his daughters. Bush's daughters wrote another for the Obama girls.

Everyone is writing letters. Well, I'm joining the fray. Only thing is, I'm not stopping at one. I'm going to try to write 100 random open letters to some people (place and things -- yes, I wrote a letter to Kanye's hair) I'm close to and some others I only know through pop culture.

This project bloomed from a whimsical exercise aimed at poking fun at an innocent college crush gone wrong and the quandary that is Facebook friend purgatory (http://thismayconcernyou.com/2009/02/06/facebook-friend-purgatory/). Now, the open letter campaign continues. I'm writing to Obama, the man who threw his shoes at W., Sarah Palin, people who misuse exclamation marks, LOL Abusers, people who think I'm gay, habitual line steppers, my ex-girlfriend, my seven-year crush, VH1's producers, Miley Cyrus, Rudy Huxtable and many more.

I don't know how this is going to go. I'm really not that funny, and won't necessarily try to be. Some letters will be serious, others will attempt to be self-deprecating, witty, sarcastic and thought-provoking. In the end, that's the aim, to make you think and chuckle from time to time.
