Seattle, Washington

Single
About Me:
To be a twenty something is to be everything. And nothing. You have the world at your finger tips, and you're petrified that it's slowly slipping away. Me? I am stitching up the cuts from my college life. Spreading ointment on the scars from failed relationship after painfully failed relationship. I am trying to sink into kisses with chapped, cracked lips from a dry past. Attempting to accept a reality most dream of. Forgiving the puppet masters of a childhood I've yet to cut the strings from. Looking to make my irrefutable mark in this world. To paint a ! on the historic days of tomorrow. To figure out just who my twenty something self really is. All while dangerously living, loudly laughing, stiletto strutting, whiskey drinking, and drunken dancing my way to, and through, it all.

I won't lie. If someone asked me if I really, and truly, am living. I would - without thought or hesitation - fervently respond: yes.

I am outgoing. I am fun-loving. I am spontaneous to a dangerous degree. I am an adrenaline junky - capable of pushing it to the brink of destruction only because I refuse to believe that things could go wrong. I have bungee jumped twice. I have snowboarded down the scariest of cliffs found within the most amazing terrain this world has to offer. I have… Continue

Practice = Perfect

I’m here to tell you, we’ve got it all wrong. We all have heard that saying over. And over. And over again. Usually by a coach. Or a teacher. Or a parent. “Practice makes perfect”. And we hear it thinking that it has something to do with a constant dedication to some action. However, I have learned in my 24 years, that such is not the case. Mr. Coach, or Mrs. Teacher, or Mom and Dad - were lying. Practice isn’t repetition. It isn’t an undying and relentless…

Bigger, Is Not Always Better...

I don't understand this country's obsession with all things large. Big cups of coffee. Big trucks. Big portions. Big penises.

Okay. The last one, I understand.

However, the rest of it is a tad ridiculous. No one needs a venti cup of coffee. I mean. Come on. Only half of that massive drink is actually going to be consumed. And those gigantic vehicles boys seem to need to have. Probably to let every commuter know they are hung like seabiscuit. Yeah - good luck parking that… Continue

Three's Company?

Don't judge me for the ridiculous amount of sexually-orientated posts. Apparently I am horny. Or whatever.

But such subjects have been heavy on my mind. So not writing about them - is pretty impossible. And my irrefutable candor has left most men with the impression that they can come to me with any sexually explicit question. Or comment. Or concern. And we can talk about them with an openness and honesty - and even a hint of raunchiness - only found in the pages of some PlayBoy…

Welcome to 20sb Danielle! I totally hear you on your not understanding the bigger thing. I feel like there are some things that just do not need to be ginormous. And I feel like we're at that age where we're just trying to make our ways and figure out who we are. That middle ground between college-aged "adult" and full-blown adult. It's super weird. Haha. Good luck with your blog!
