I'm a newlywed who eagerly moved with her new husband to a new state. I'm slowly learning how to cook things besides frozen pizza, toast, and hamburger helper. I have too many dogs and live in a crapartment, but am packing to move into our first house. Sometimes I am a mess. Photography is quickly turning from a hobby into a passion and I would love to do it for a living.
On 2-20-09, I decided to make a positive change in my life. I'm working to shed my excess weight and to live a healthier lifestyle. It isn't going to be easy, but with the support of my husband, family, and friends, I know that I can accomplish anything!
Nope, no overseas time yet. For his job he just hops on a boat when they need him and basically tells them where its safe to put their ships. He's part of the Meteorology and Oceanography group that focuses on Anti-sub Warfare. So he gets to tell the big wigs where he thinks submarines might be hiding. He just found out that he'll be replacing a department head soon and that means less time at sea! Yay!
Yeah, it's been nice. My husband is on a trip right now, so it's kinda one big weekend. All the days just smoosh together when he's gone. But we've been chatting via webcam the past couple days and that's been wonderful.
It definitely makes for a whiny life. I'm trying to make do. I'm lucky and so far my husband has only done a few small trips out (a couple weeks at a time). I meant to ask in my last comment...What do you do?
Yeah, we moved here in September. I've made a few friends, but one I'm avoiding, one is avoiding me, and one lives a little too far away to get together often. My husband is in the navy and I'm a stay-at-home mom so it gets hard to get out and meet people sometimes.
