I love snowboarding, although I'm not very good at it. When I've got spare time I can be found with my head in a good book. I am truly passionate about dancing, particularly ballet...I'm happiest in tights and leotard en pointe.
I like hiking and camping, although I rarely do either. My taste in music is pretty diverse.
I love being around animals and would probably argue that I like most dogs more than a lot of people I meet.
Spending time around family and friends is precious to me, something I don't get enough of since moving so far away from them all.
I like to think of myself as creative, although the left side of my brain has been stifled in recents years. I have been trying to tap into my creativity since moving to Canada.
At uni I studied Psychology, leaving me with an interest in Forensic Psychology and Developmental Psychology...not together.
I love food and wine...particularly local produce and a good bottle of red.
yea, i know. i wish it was just that easy to pick right back up where i left off but unfortunately it doesn't look like it will ever be happening. i was laid off 3 months ago and still haven't been able to secure another job so money is an issue. plus i'm moving in may so i'd have to change studios any way.
i think the real reason i don't get back into it though is just because it's been so long since i left that i know i'm no where near where i used to be. and trying it again would only confirm how much i've lost over time and make me upset. ughh
oh well...maybe one day. and i agree with you about hip hop. not many people realize how difficult it really is. but so much fun!! :]
thanks--glad you enjoyed the post!
to be honest, i didn't know about the Burns event until about 6:00 that night. it was a good time and a definite learning experience! since then, i've put two and two together and figured out where his statue is in the city. i've passed it a million times and never made the connection.
Just saw your post on Chick Lit about something borrowed and something blue. I just finished both the books, too. Somehow, it was incredibly relatable. =)
no kidding. after you dance so much for so long it's hard to come back from a hiatus and be anywhere near as good as you were when you left it. as for me, i danced for 18 years (ballet, pointe, contemporary, hip hop, and jazz) but i only taught hip hop, ballet and jazz for four years. i loved it though and i miss it every single day.
Joint Hons International Relations - Social Anthropology. Did you do your postgrad at Aberdeen as well? I now have the Wii Fit btw! :D It arrived last week and of course I'm using it now instead of waiting for Christmas. Tee hee!
