About Me:

I am a northern gal at heart, living in Washington, DC by way of New
York (the state, not the city) and North Carolina. I am married to a
fabulous man who makes me feel like the most important girl in the
world. We are having a blast living in the city and are making the
most of our first years of marriage. We have a 3 year old eskipoo
named Kona, a perpetual puppy that thinks she rules the house. I am a
school psychologist by trade and spend my days working with students,
teachers, and administrators to ensure that every child learns in a
safe, healthy, and supportive environment. I love the flexibility and
unpredictability of my job and am never bored at work. The fact that I
can wear a dress and cardigan or jeans and a collared shirt depending
on the day's agenda makes getting dressed in the morning fun. I read
"beach reads" all year round and love to hate all the reality shows on
Bravo. I enjoy cooking, but hate to grocery shop, thus creating a
kitchen conundrum. When I'm not busy with work, my family, or my
social life, I can usually be found on my MacBook blogging about
whatever pops in my mind, while simultaneously shopping online.
