The Bloggers With The Most To Say
Jasmine Young has not received any gifts yet
Vegging for Health started out as my personal blog where I would share and discuss my experiences with vegetarianism as I discovered recipes and products that were new to me.
Sure that's how it started out, but as time went on during my first year of taking on the vegetarian diet, I started to neglect my blog as I became busier and busier with work during the Christmas retail season. Once the season was over and I had acquired more free time, I decided it was time to get back into blogging and really do it right this time. Some of you may be thinking, "There is not wrong or right way to blog." While that may be true, what I mean is I will actually start posting more and keeping my blog up to date.
August 1, 2011 marked my 1 year anniversary as a vegetarian. This is something I am proud of as it also marked 8 months soda free (new years resolution). I originally decided vegetarianism was the right way for me to go about dropping weight. In January 2011 I weighed in at 210 lbs and I had never been more embarrassed as I stood on that scale in front of my sister and her fiance. All of the winter holidays had me overeating and body was suffering. I'm proud to say I've dropped 21 lbs since January and I continue to see the weight slowly drop.
Vegging for Health is not just a vegetarian blog anymore. That is simply because I am not just a vegetarian. My diet doesn't make me who I am, it's simply just a decision I've made for myself and it requires me to practice self-discipline as someone who was raised eating meat in this world of fast food.
