I am a twenty-something publicist getting by on small writers' paychecks by experimenting with good food in the kitchen, keeping tabs on the beauty industry, planning phantom adventures to far-off lands (I do take one of them a year, but I like to plan for 5-6) and harmlessly lusting over the things I cannot yet afford when I come across them. I also live in Wicker Park, a great neighborhood on the Northwest side of Chicago, so I can typically be counted on for restaurant reviews or at least remembering what I ate. BYOB dinner with friend(s) and a live show = ideal night out. Couldn't have picked a better spot for it.
Fill in the blank: "People who like _________ will love my blog!"
food, music, design, Chicago, animals, globetrotting, mischief (the old-fashioned kind of almost harmless fun, usually better in pairs), the beauty biz or any combination of the above
What makes you different from other bloggers?
Different can't be the goal, if I spent the time trying to differentiate, I'd never actually make a point which is tough enough as it is.

Stop it. You do not have the Perfect Strangers theme under where you live. Do you realize Perfect Strangers has come into my life twice this week? Are you psychic?
You're even more awesome than I originally thought!
Sorry about the drought! Being home for the holidays, starting the new gig, etc. Not a lot of funny anecdotes going on in the dating world. But I'm back now!
Hi Jessi! Thanks for the comment. I've just been checking out your blog - good stuff! I love cooking and food and everything related...I look forward to reading more!
thank you so much for your comments on my blog. i lived in wicker park last year, right on the corner of wabansia and damen, and loved (loved!) it. now i'm more near the loop, which means i get to try out lots of fun places in the west/south loop and, of course, everywhere else in our fair city! i just tried out shikago last night and it was, in one word, perfect. the food was impeccable, as was the service, and we had kevin shikami himself come out and personally recommend a wine. you must try it!
i love all the things you list in your "people who like ..." which is a more round about way of saying that i will grow addicted to your blog.
and your profile picture is beautiful. and i find it hilarious that you have a video clip of perfect strangers.
