About Me:: I'm a 26 year old "retired" teacher, student, and wife (as of 6/8/08!) and otherwise spectator to some of the most insanely bizarre and insanely mundane life experiences. Oh and I had brain surgery in November of 2007.

How long have you been blogging:: since May 2007

Fill in the blank: "People who like _________ will love my blog!": humor, tempered with reality and the growing pains of a 20-something in the middle of learning to be an adult in an increasingly childish world

What makes you different from other bloggers?: I'm not sure anything does. I try to be humorous and appeal to a large group, but really, I'm just me, and this is just my little corner of the internet. I'm not necessarily out there to break any blogging records or barriers. I'm just sharing my story a little bit at a time.

I would title this "About Me" but that seems boring

I am a 25 year old teacher, born, raised and educated in Southern California, now living, working, getting more educated, in New Orleans, Louisiana. I'm married to the man of my dreams (awwwwww) and a fantastic future physician. I feel that I'm at the start of something big, I just haven't figured out what that is yet.

I have a cranial malformation that I had surgery on in November 2007. The recovery has been tumultuous, but it's also taught me a lot about who I am and who I want to be (or maybe who I don't want to be?)

I guess I just feel like life's about balancing the real stuff with what feels real but isn't. It's about cutting the crap and getting to the heart of things and trying to find the humor along the way.

My life is not a picnic, and maybe that's why I look forward to getting up every day to live it.
