There is something about me that really dislikes describing myself, I’m not sure what it is but I admit, it is bizarre. I like myself (most days), but I do not like talking about it. I have been living in fear for four years that the weekly newsletter at my office will select me for the staff spotlight feature. Hobbies? Something my co-workers may not know about me? My favorite movie?!? Oh the horror! The pressure! I am new to blogging, but my instincts tell me that the about me is kind of a big deal. So other than having an irrational fear of describing myself I am an anal retentive, sometimes self-loathing perfectionist that loves life until it hurts. I thrive on sarcasm, am fiercely loyal, and yes, I am judging your outfit. I can’t help it; I grew up in Connecticut. But just because some people choose to get dressed in the dark doesn’t mean I’m judging the content of their character, my parents taught me better than that! I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an aunt and a friend to some of the most amazing people in the world. I love to travel, but I hate maps. When people give me directions I nod like I’m listening, but I’m not. I work in Marketing and reside in DC’s fabulous Logan Circle neighborhood. I started this blog to make the about me come easier, as a much-needed creative outlet, and as potential therapy for my bourgeoning addiction to retail.
