Theatre has been my passion for as long as I can remember. After being an active force in my high school’s theatre department, I moved up to Boston in 2004 to study English at Boston University. While at BU, I performed with Wandering Minds, one of BU’s theatre ensembles. After 2½ years at BU, feeling unfulfilled and aimless, I took a year off, during which I decided to follow my passions. I transferred to Suffolk University in 2008, and am currently studying Theatre Arts, taking courses in acting, directing, singing, production, and arts administration.
In 2007, some BU friends and I started a theatre group which is now known as The Independent Drama Society. Serving as one of three Artistic Directors, I am currently helping this fledgling company to grow by directing and acting in productions and cultivating a strong artistic vision.

theatre and reading theatre reviews
What makes you different from other bloggers?
My theatre reviews are experiential; I share not only my opinion of a show, but also my *experience* of it. My descriptions are vivid and engaging, intended to make readers feel like they are at the theatre with me. As an Artistic Director of a growing fringe theatre company, I also provide a unique inside view of the Boston theatre scene that most people don't see.

Maybe we do :) And I can't say theatre has ever been my life but it was a big part of it for six or seven years. I really love that you have your own acting company. That's huge.
