I was born and raised here in the US. I moved to Kansas City as a pre -teen and later on moved to the middle east where I finished High School.
I recently graduated with a journalism degree and looking for ventures in the media industry. I have spent most of 2008 in the Arabian Gulf to support my father after the passing of my mother in Feb. I am now back in the US where I feel I belong most. I started my blog while I was overseas to help me cope and adjust to a new lifestyle. Previous posts will articulate the time I spent discovering my ethnicity and dealing with the constant juggle of a dual identity.
I am now still dealing with the cultural and social expectations that I still feel are a huge part of finding the middle ground that I seek.
Hi Marwa! I wanted to tell you that I absolutely love your writing and learning from your perspective. I like it so much I added you to my blogroll! I hope it brings you some more traffic because I really think people would be really blessed to read what you write. I'm looking forward to reading more of your blog!
The tickets are available for the meet-up, but the megabus schedule is only up through 3/31. I'll keep checking and let you know when they're available for June if you want.
