I tried to pass off the one word "about me" but I am really not hip enough for that.
I moved to Alaska just over a year ago, after graduating college. I have worked 6 jobs since arriving, including being: a teller at a credit union (10 mos.), a shop-girl ( 1 year), a bartender (4 mos.), a jewelry salesperson (1 day), and a clerk for the maintenance department at a mine (2 mos.). Currently I am working on a political campaign, said to be the most competitive in the country. It disallows me from being involved with anything else or having a real life because I work approximately 90 hour weeks.
Around Juneau I like to hike (though it rarely happens these days), follow live music (which happens more frequently than most would think), spend time with friends (which happens more than the hiking but way less than it should), and I like to write and doodle and sometimes attempt finer arts than what I can do with a sharpie and post-it notes.
My love life, if it can be called that, is a bit of a circus. It's full of twists and turns and interesting characters and feats of magnificence and near death plunges. Sounds good, right? Ummm. Maybe not.
I like art, reading, webcomics (I'm working on having one of my own), fashion, nature, being green, bluegrass, music in general, dancing, gin & tonics, having fun, and friends.
I dislike writing cover letters, assholes, cold rain, and you know, bad stuff.
hi! i'm from juneau! how are you liking it so far? i never knew how much i appreciated it until i moved to san francisco. sometimes all it takes is to be away from home for you to appreciate the littlest things that you thought you despised. and i would never trade the life that i had there because it made me who i am today.
