I work in television, but I love to read books. I can't remember ever not having a book on the go. Recently I ran out of room on my bookshelf so I decided to buy a Kobo e-reader. I love it! So I decided to start a blog where I review the books I've read, and discuss my reading adventures.
Sadako and the Thousand Paper Crane book actually was the basis for my idea. :) I read the book and decided I wanted to do something similar but try to spread the wealth. Chapters being around the corner is a great deal. Did you end up making a decision on an ereader or still thinking it over?
I really like my Nook. I was surprised because I was definitely not on the ereader train (mostly because I'm a library girl.) But it was a gift from my bfs family. I later found out my library connects with a larger e-library, so I was pleased. I've never used a Kobo so I don't know much about it. That is a shame there are no B&N near you! Especially now that Borders is going out. :( I was quite sad to hear that because there is a Borders right down the street from me (B&N is only a few minutes further away though.) What sorts of books do you enjoy reading? (Quinn is next on my list to read!)
Welcome Michelle! I'm a book lover too so I completely agree about there being no time in which a book wasn't in my presence. I've got myself a nook but am not reading it as often as I hoped. I'm a big library person, so I think that's why. (I've also ran out of room on my shelves. Haha. But there's nothing like seeing a good book you've read, am I right?) I'll certainly be following your blog as I'm always looking for new books. (I recently started Flashback by Dan Simmons but I'm not sure if I'll be continuing with it. Bah!)
