A Little More About Me:
I’m a Senior at the University of Southern California currently pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with an expected graduation date of May 2012. No double majors, no minors. Instead of working towards a second degree, I’ve decided to take those credits and apply them to learning as much as I can about a wide array of subjects including Marketing, Comparative Politics, Design, Peer Leadership, Gang Intervention, Hip Hop & Culture, and Philosophy, to name a few. In addition to the courses offered at my University, I have taken the liberty of pursuing independent study in the social media and real estate fields. I am also actively involved on campus and am currently serving multiple Executive Board Positions, including Special Events Chair of the Multicultural Greek Council (the umbrella organization for all Multicultural Greek orgs at USC) and as President of my Sorority, Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated – Phi Chapter which I joined in the Fall of 2009. SOLEIL!! I am recognized as an Order of Omega Scholar, a leadership honor society for members of Greek organizations which “recognizes juniors and seniors who have exemplified high standards in the areas of scholarship, leadership, involvement within their respective organization and within the Greek, campus, and local community.” Moving on to the professional realm, I currently work at STUHO Student Housing as a Senior Intern in the Leasing and Marketing Department and am in the process of launching my own start-up company which brings me back here, to blessmyhustle.com.
A Little More About ‘Bless My Hustle’:
Bless My Hustle was inspired by a desire to live out the alternative. I’ve been exposed to the negative effects of media violence, gang life, socio-economic status, race relations, and the ‘hustle & grind’ attitude throughout my youth. This site is committed to find the positive messages in what has always been construed as a negative genre of music and a violent culture. In addition, I will be launching a line of urban products with my original designs. Got to get in on the hustle too! ;]
