Really, I'm not sure what to write here. At one time, I kept a number of blogs and neglected most of them; I'd rather not get back into that habit.

So instead of starting a blog here, I'd like to take this opportunity to direct you to my blog, Portrait of the Woman as a Young Artist.

Unfortunately, Florida is a closed primary and I am registered as an Independent. Was considering changing just so I could vote but I can not bring myself to be associated with either party right now. I don't think McCain stands a case against a Hillary/Obama run if they choice the loser as their running mate...and that is a good thing.

Oooh, thorough freebie edit! Please don't overwork yourself or anything on my behalf, but hooray! I hope it is not an onerous task. I fret about these kinds of things.

I'm mostly good. Still working at the library and living at home with a minimum of expenses. Both end March 10, and frankly I am a feeling happy about that. This has been a nice respite but I am really eager to live independently again. I got your thoughtful email about the position in Clarenville; in September I would have jumped over it but right now I NEED to live in St. John's, or maybe Corner Brook. There are young people here, but very very few who I feel a connection with. I don't want that to sound snobby but if it does it does.

What magazine articles are you doing? I need to kickstart the more mercenary aspect of writing. I'm all novel project this and, well, not much else, honestly. I have my first periodical piece coming out in April's Newfoundland Quarterly but I haven't even written, let alone sent out, any others!

I am really excited about "Painters . . ." BTW, I went for the most basic and neutral of layouts when setting it up. If you (or Dave) want to spruce it up (or even go gung-ho and gussy it up), feel free. I am not very design-minded.
