Let’s try this Andy Rooney-style …

* I’m a tinkerer, really, with a passion for discovering new things, coming up with new ideas and displaying them in some way.
* Although I am moving out of a journalism job, I don’t think you’ll ever take the journalist out of me.
* I’ve practiced journalism in some capacity since high school. I’ve learned a lot over the past 10 years.
* Coming soon: a career shift. I’ll be helping put together Kent.edu, starting in early January. Graduate school in information architecture is coming probably later in 2009.
* I am an avid reader. At any given time I’m reading three or four books at once, but not at the same time.
* I blog because it’s a fantastic way to self-teach new skills and explore my random tech-geek thoughts.
* Speaking of self-teaching, that’s how I learn nearly every thing. I may not know how to do what you’re asking me, but I’m pretty good at figuring it out.
