The Day I Couldn't Leave
I came home the other night, exhausted from yet another day of multiple jobs, paint supplies and freelance work. I kicked my shoes off and turned around to lock my apartment door. When I turned the knob it just spun repeatedly without catching on anything and then promptly fell out into my hands.
Eh, just another thing to tell the landlord about when I get a chance. So I put the lock to the side and crawled into bed (I have two doors so it's ok to leave one unlocked. No big deal).

Nikki Yeager's Guide to NYC Apartments
