About Me:

I am a 28-year old Canadian lady, navigating through the typical trials and tribulations of a small town girl living on n the city, while also struggling through my PhD. I sometimes try to deny my geekyness in real life (and I actually fool a few people... it's amazing what earrings and an ability to discuss celebrity gossip in the appropriate situation will do!). I find my blog forces me to admit my true nature and indulge in some needed self-reflection, as well as forcing me to articulate my thoughts on issues outside of myself. I try to balance humour and seriousness. No particular one topic dominate... I kinda float through random overheard comments, commentary on current issues, an overanalysis of an interpersonal interaction, memories of adolescent ridiculousness, complaining about being a grad student, or general musings on life. Come join me in my overcatastrophizing... or just indulge me in my delusion that people care what rattles around in my brain.

A general spirit of eclecticism... I will post about why seahorses are cool alongside a list of *scandalous* confessions, all below musings about the nature of empathy. And stuff.
