After moving to NYC, I began to notice a myriad of strange and, sometimes, funny, events and people around me. I talked to a few friends who are veterans of the city about these relatively frequent happenings that I couldn't help noticing. Many of them told me that they had a similar kind of cathartic experience when they first moved to NYC, but had since become numbed to the rather incredible events happening night and day in the city.

As a way to keep in touch with my two best friends from childhood, during summer breaks in college, we would all spend a few days together at my friend’s parents’ beach house. I can see how people would have a romantic image of NYC, because of shows and movies like Sex in the City. I did visit NYC once when I was a kid. Although, I remember several things...but I am pretty sure my parents kept me from seeing the real bad stuff.
Glad you liked my Fair post. Yes, riding a camel was way different from riding a horse. But it was neat.
I read your post about Storm Yoga. Is it hard to start yoga and begin it? I've always been curious about it. You always see people that do yoga as being real fit, and wondered if that is just the imaging of it.
