I just read your latest post and have to say, I too am a list fanatic. I make lists all the time! I also hide my valuables from mechanics even though I've been going to the same place for 8 years (and my dad has been for almost 20 years). And you can totally buy an air filter at an auto supply place and replace it yourself (or ask one of the guys working there to help) for like $10.
