I'm a journalist who's done time as a reporter, columnist, and a few years at The Washington Post.com. I left the Big Time J-World to start my own blog so I could do all the things I loved without having to listen to anyone. Ever. I love my family, my Camelbak water bottle, and a good sweaty workout. If you saw me, you wouldn't guess that I was a HUGE WWF (now known as WWE) fan when I was a kid. My dad took me to a showdown of all my spandex-wearing, chest-slapping heroes when I was a kid, and I nearly died when Jake "The Snake" Roberts got bit by his own snake (and taken out of the arena on a stretcher.) When I got a little older, my sister told me the whole thing was staged -- and I nearly killed her by putting her in one of my own made-up wrestling moves, which I so endearingly refer to as "The Manic Death Hold." I'm a newlywed, got married the summer of '08 to my childhood bff, and my blog chronicles most of my life from my childhood to what I'm up to today. I've lived on or visited five out of the seven continents, and I plan on exploring the rest of this beautiful world the moment I can figure out how to get paid for doing what I love. I'm an amateur photographer, and I love all things style related: clothes, ideas, accessories, home goods -- and I blog about that stuff too.
