Where do you live:
Los Angeles, Ca.
Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
I'm a journalist who's done time as a reporter, columnist, and a few years at The Washington Post.com. I left the Big Time J-World to start my own blog so I could write more, sleep more, continue the hijab fashion videos I started while at Post.com, and have zero income...wait, that last part wasn't supposed to be part of this new gig, but it is what it is.
I love my family, my Camelbak water bottle, and a good sweaty workout. If you saw me, you wouldn't guess that I was a HUGE WWF (now known as WWE) fan when I was a kid. My dad took me to a showdown of all my spandex-wearing, chest-slapping heroes when I was a kid, and I nearly died when Jake "The Snake" Roberts got bit by his own snake (and taken out of the arena on a stretcher.) When I got a little older, my sister told me the whole thing was staged -- and I nearly killed her.
I'm a newlywed, got married the summer of '08 to my childhood bff, and every once in a while my blog will reflect what life has been like so far as a wife...and daughter-in-law... dunn.dunnn.DUNNNN!
I've lived on or visited five out of the seven continents, and I plan on exploring the rest of this beautiful world the moment I get a paying job.
I'm an amateur photographer (read: my point-and-shoot is my best friend), and I love all things style related: clothes, ideas, accessories, home goods -- and I blog about that stuff too.
Oh, I'm also a pretty big sports fan, and in our house, we bleed Lakers purple and gold -- AND my husband is from New England; it's sort of like the world's greatest juxtaposition.
I was sort of a punk when I was younger, and for the last five years I have been putting myself through a self-imposed, religious rehab program. I don't swear on my blog (probably as a result of my God-loving transformation) so if you're hungry for a good eff-word every so often, I suggest you come to my blog, and head straight for my blog roll.

How long have you been blogging:
Since October 2008
Fill in the blank: "People who like _________ will love my blog!"
witty, entertaining, and honest writing, and hijab fashion
What makes you different from other bloggers?
My writing style, the balance of hilarios posts mixed with life's more serious moments, and def. the monthly hijab videos.
