About Me:: I swim the Liberal Education sea, a mulatto ludovician hungry for words. I don't have a television, I don't have a land line, and a present I don't have money. But I've got spirit, kid, and that's going to take me far!

How long have you been blogging:: Including Livejournal back in the day, five or so years.

What makes you different from other bloggers?: I'm a mulatto from Wyoming whose mother comes from a family of black rodeo riders and whose father is a tree-cutter turned accountant. I attended an all-male school, have a three-footed Russian tortoise for a roommate, and get hand-me-ups from my 6-years younger brother.

I was listening to it in a dark room with only my desk lamp on and it frightened the crap out of me. "Be Gone" is definitely the one track here that had more potential in my eyes, but I like how it separates the album into a Side A/Side B. I think the album is very much like "The Devil & God..." because of it's density, but I'd also argue that it's more groove oriented and less about hooks. Either way, it took me a while to get it, and I think some fans aren't going to put in the time.

It's denser, darker, more visceral, and bluesier than they've ever been before. I think it's going to polarize a lot of fans, but I think it's a very strong and interesting album. Hope you enjoy!
