I'm a 26 year old girl living in Chicago, who after spending 7 years in school to earn my advanced degree for the profession I believed would be my life long career, is now looking for something different.
My inability to sit still or stay in one place or job for any extended period of time might have something to do with my long un-diagnosed ADD. This is what I have labeled "My Quarter Life Crisis." I'm not running out to buy a sports car, or trying to date someone who is a decade my junior (actually, that would be illegal... so scratch that), but I am looking for a different path for my life to take.
What path? Well I don't know. I'm a bit like a compulsive over-eater in a buffet line. I looked at the things I'm interested in and decided to dabble in them all in the hopes that I will find my niche. This includes photography, graphic design, internet media, and writing and editing - which is where my blog comes into pay. It's my outlet for all the thoughts bouncing about in my brain and ultimately as I continue, I'd like to have a blog specifically for my written pieces.
I'll eventually be starting one for my photography and/or writing, but I'm not quite there yet.
Age:
26
How long have you been blogging:
I've had an on and off relationship with blogging (aka Xanga) since 2004.
Fill in the blank: "People who like _________ will love my blog!"
Public embarrassment.
Making fun of small children.
What makes you different from other bloggers?
I have yet to see a blog in which someone is taking the time to post the entries from their childhood diaries for the entertainment of others. I'm doing that. Yeah, I'm going there!

It's funny how life can take so many turns and all of a sudden it's better than you had even wanted it to be! To think I would have been married and having babies at this time?! I definitely would have missed out on my big trip to europe, living in NYC, moving to colorado, and all the other really fun (and some not so fun) things that i've experienced since we broke up. I'm a little more unsure of where my future will take me but I'm ok with that. :)
Welcome to 20SB, Simply T! Your life sounds just like mine...I'm also unsure if I want to continue what I went to school for 7 years to do. Gotta love those QLC! ;)
