I tried to be the normal college student, not really hard, mind you, but I did. It just didn't work for me. So I peaced out even though I still try to keep up with my old college friends and such (Go Huskies! UW forever and all that) while I'm enjoying the school of life. 1)-You should take a walking tour of the city! There's a great, FREE, one that starts at 11am and another at 1pm, every day http://www.newamsterdamtours.com/nat/
2) You should rent a bike and bike around the city for at least a day! It's the best way to see it. If you come on the weekend I can probably give you a tour by bike
3)Tourists usually like taking a canal boat through the canals. I'm not a big fan, unless it's a private boat, but maybe you'll like it!
4)noordermarkt!- If you're here on a Monday, you MUST go to the noordermarkt! My favorite market in the city where you can find vintage clothes and the best applecake in Amsterdam is located in a cafe' near by!
