I am a born & bred Seattle girl who just moved back after a stint in Chicago! With my best friend, I own a media/branding company that also houses our network of blogs:
Broke & Beautiful: A lifestyle blog for the cheap at heart! http://brokeandbeautiful.com
Awakened Aesthetic: A Conscience for the Conscious. Ethical/eco clothing, decor, & beauty products! http://awakenedaesthetic.com
Awakened Appetite: Environmentally-friendly and body-friendly food! http://awakenedappetite.com
Since December 2007, with B&B. I've been making sites for 10 years, though!
Fill in the blank: "People who like _________ will love my blog!"
getting the absolute most for their money, looking fabulous, feeling amazing, treating the Earth & their body well, loving themselves and wringing life of its every last drop of goodness
What makes you different from other bloggers?
I actually live my blog. It's about me, but directed at you. I 100% practice what I preach. It's my passion!

I'd say go to Metropolis to meet people, but it doesn't really happen there. I felt out of place whenever I went there... that could just be me being awkward. :)
Once it gets nice, just hop the 151 south and stroll around Lincoln Park zoo. That's what I did in the summer! Though I've sort of enjoyed going to Millennium Park on the weekends, and seeing how many different bridal parties I can count in one hour... it's crazy.
:) I really miss their Pad See Ewe... it was amazing. In fact, I think I got that, fried tofu, edemame and a thai iced tea almost every time I ordered.
I was mostly a hermit when I lived in Edgewater... it was unfortunate.

If you like beer I hear theirs is some of the best in Chicago. I am partial to the cashew butter, fig, and jam sandwich. It's located on Clark in Andersonville - depending on where you are, perhaps walking distance.
If you're a brunch eater, I cannot more highly recommend M. Henry

There's always a line out the door, but the food is worth the wait.
Also located on Clark in Andersonville.
While I'm not quite as familiar with Edgewater, you are right by Andersonville and there's so much great stuff there along Clark!
Hi Miss Elle- I've been reading your blog for months now (before your move to Chicago)! I've been in Chicago for 5 years now living on the north side. What do you want to know? (Have you been to Hopleaf yet? It's up in Andersonville and a great place to eat and drink.)
